Problem: User cannot consistently connect to Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.
Encountered: February 2022
User was able to connect to the wireless display adapter attached to a TV once after each reboot of their laptop but subsequent attempts to connect would show connecting… and then drop the connection before displaying anything from the laptop onto the TV.
Solution: Install the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter app on a laptop and use that to connect with the physical wireless display adapter. Use the app to update the firmware of the adapter. The adapter should reboot after the update is installed and then you should have no trouble connecting to the adapter repeatedly with the same laptop.
